CoEd Varsity Cross Country
The Purdy Eagles competed in the Class 1 District 4 cross country meet held at Lamar on 10/27.
In the boys division, Blue Eye won the event with a team score of 46, followed by Crane (65), Purdy (85), School of the Ozarks (92), Galena (132), McAuley (136), Wheaton (138) and Sparta (193).
Individually, Titus Thompson of School of the Ozarks won the event with a time of 17:26. Individual finishers for Purdy were as follows: Zack Brewer -10th (18:45), Dawson Abramovitz - 13th (19:09), Alan Rodriguez - 14th (19:09), Adrien Tate - 23rd (20:31), Dylan Justice - 36th (21:32), Westin Ellison - 56th (24:02), Jake Brown - 63rd (25:17). The top 15 finishers qualify for the state meet.
In the girls division, Blue Eye won the event with a team score of 24, followed by Sparta (50), Crane (62) and Wheaton (80).
Individually, Avery Arnold of Blue Eye won the event with a time of 19:41. Individual finishers for Purdy are as follows: Joy Grace - 7th (23:00), McKenna Orwig - 13th (24:05). Top 15 finishers advance to the state meet on Saturday at Jefferson City.
